After a brief indoor college career at IPFW, and then suffering what was believed to be a career ending knee injury, William determined in 2006 that he would make his greatest comeback ever.  By 2010, after an 8 year sabbatical from competition, countless hours in the gym and refocusing his life, he accepted his first professional indoor contract, and was on his way to fulfilling his dream.
Many indoor successes followed, as William went on to win the Gold Medal in the 2012 USA Volleyball Open National Championships, and the Gold Medal in the 2015 Premier Volleyball League, along with a Silver Medal in both in 2013.
In the meantime, William had also restarted his beach career, qualifying for every pro tour in the US, before settling down and finding his home on the NVL tour.  Along with competing professionally, William and his wife have a 68,000 sqft multi-sport facility “Empowered Sports Club,” an indoor club program “Empowered Volleyball Academy,” and a beach club program “Empowered Pro Beach Juniors.”
When William is not traveling with his club program, or managing his facility, you can catch him bombing jump serves on his favorite tour, The NVL!
