Torsone won a first place title in 2012 on the NVL tour. Internationally, his highest finish is third. He represented the United States twice at the Pan American games, finishing fourth and seventh. Torsone was selected as a General Motors “Team behind the Team” Olympic Hopeful athlete. He started playing volleyball after graduating from Fairport High School in upstate New York. He went on to earn a mechanical engineering degree from Syracuse University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. After college, Torsone moved to the west coast in order to pursue a career in pro beach volleyball. He currently works as a mechanical designer at SpaceX.
