John-Michael/JM/Jammin was raised around two older sisters that played volleyball from the 4th grade through college. Although he and his younger brother both played baseball and soccer growing up, JM soon gravitated towards beach volleyball as he moved from Minnesota to Jupiter, Florida as a sophomore in high school. Between growing as a player at Marcinski Beach in Jupiter, and earning his Masters in Business Administration along side of playing at Lindenwood University, volleyball has been the biggest part of his life and has led him to great success as a hybrid, indoor and beach player, and yes his chest is shaved half and half:
-Lindenwood University; NAIA Indoor National Champion 2009
-Team FL Wave; PVL USAV Indoor Open National Champion 2013
-NVL 2015 (Rookie Year) Top Finishes 5th Seattle 7th Madeira Beach
