Bio

A native of Elizabeth, Colorado, Skylar has had the passion for playing, learning and growing in the sport of volleyball since he was 4 years old.  He established his fundamentals and skills growing up playing in coed rec leagues and competitive indoor club and high school volleyball programs in Parker, Colorado. After leaving the mountains, Skylar acquired a new love for beach volleyball while attending college in San Diego, California. He spent day and night going to school, working and playing as much beach volleyball as possible.  After college, Skylar went back home to Colorado where he continued to train at any sand (dirt) court available to him.

Skylar won the prestigious men’s open division at the Motherlode in Aspen, Colorado, a top amateur event in 2014 and 2016.  In 2014, Skylar also went on to win 5/5 of The Volleyball of the Rockies (VOTR) local Colorado open tournaments.  For the 2015 season, Skylar competed successfully in the NVL tour winning his first second place finish in Madeira Beach, Florida and first place in the season-ending Player Championships in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Skylar was not finished carrying into the 2016 season where he won four out of six NVL professional beach tour events including the National Volleyball League Player Championship again in Port St. Lucie.
