CINCINNATI, Ohio (June 20, 2014) – The National Volleyball League (NVL) will host its third pro beach volleyball tournament of the 2014 season from July 10 – 12 at The Beach Waterpark. The Midwest Championships will include professional, amateur and junior competitions in a unique, tropical park setting. The tournament will conclude with the NVL’s “Saturday Night Lights” format, which features Saturday night men’s and women’s finals with a prize purse of $50,000, followed by a beach party with live music from recording artist Kelley James and activities for the entire family.
“The Beach Waterpark is an ideal venue to showcase the talents of NVL players from all levels in an outstanding volleyball facility,” commented NVL Founder and CEO, Albert Hannemann. “We’re pleased to work with The Beach Waterpark and the Ohio Valley Region to provide a fun, family-friendly atmosphere which will offer a variety of competitions and entertainment with plenty of player-fan interaction throughout the event.”

The Midwest Championships will feature top players including NVL 2014 Texas and Atlanta tournament champions, Pri Piantadosi-Lima & Karolina Sowala and Olympian Josh Binstock & Sam Schachter.
Tickets are available on the NVL site and at local Menards locations. The NVL PlayFIT Junior Clinic is available to participate in for free on Saturday, July 12 from 2PM-4PM.
